Bait and Witch

Bait and Witch - J.P. Sloan This is a nice little introduction to this series. The characterization is a little wobbly, but you still get a sense for who Lake is. You get a general sense of the world and all, just enough to not be wondering what the heck is going on with all the magic talk, but there's definitely more to be explored.

My one gripe is that Sloan has really painted the Eastern Shore as a huge hick town. Wasting isn't as bad as he noes it out to be, especially with the hotel remark. Yes, the Delmarva is filled with rednecks, but it is civilized over here.
