A fair bit too much happened in ths first book, but it was interesting. I think, with this being the author's first, a lot of it is forgivable. If Bateman grows as an author this could be a great series.I read this as an ebook and thus didnt really pay attention to the cover. I didnt realize Gavyn was a guy for a bit. When Ian first refers to him as a "him" I thought it was a typo :D I really hate the trend of female protagonists in this genre having male names.
